Federer beat Nieminen to reach Istanbul Open Quarter-final

Switzerland tennis star Roger Federer has defeated Jarkko Nieminen in the second round of inaugural TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open tournament. Federer won the match in straight sets by 6-2, 7-5 to qualify in the quarterfinal of 2015 Istanbul Open.

Federer beat Nieminen to reach Istanbul Open Quarter-final.

This is the 15th occasion when Roger Federer has beaten Finland’s Jarkko Nieminen. Roger took 20 minutes to win the first set of match by 6-2. He dropped three points in the first set serve. After this left handed Finn star tried to return in the match and was leading the second set by 4-3 but Swiss star came back in the action and won the second set by 7-5.

Winning this match Federer registered his 200th win on clay surface. In the present generation he is the sixth player to do so.
