Hazlewood withdraws from IPL to keep himself fit for ashes

Australian Mumbai Indians fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has ruled out himself from ongoing IPL tournament as he wants to keep himself fit and fresh for upcoming Ashes Series and West Indies tour. Indian Premier League schedule dates are clashing with Australia’s tour of West Indies. Josh played crucial role for Aussies to win world cup and has been playing lot of cricket matches due to busy international schedule.

Hence Hazlewood decides to give himself a little bit break ahead of West Indies tour in May-June. General Manager of Team Performance Mr. Pat Howard said, “Josh’s workload has changed significantly since he first began attending the IPL. The IPL is the players’ leave period and in Josh’s case it was deemed that not playing was the best use of that time in the lead up to a busy winter. “This was agreed to with the IPL following discussions at the end of the Test series.

Kane Richardson is another Australian cricketer who pulled off from tournament before few days back. IPL 2015 final is scheduled to play on 24 May and Australia will be playing their only tour game from 27 May. So Josh has chosen to withdraw from IPL to keep himself fit and fresh.
