Kohli becomes 1st Indian to score ton in IND-PAK world cup clash

Indian rising star Virat Kohli has scored his career’s 22nd hundred today against Pakistan in Adelaide Oval. He becomes the first indian batsman to hit century in a cricket world cup match against Pakistan. Virat breaks the record of Sachin Tendulkar who made 98 runs against Pak in 2003 world cup at SuperSport Park.

Virat Kohli completes hundred in 119 balls. He hit 7 boundaries to reach his ton in this big match. Kohli also surpassed Saeed Anwar who was the highest scorer between these two arch rivals in cricket world cup. Anwar made 102 runs in 2003 cwc match.

It was nerves moment when Kohli came to bat as India lost Rohit on 34 score in 8th over. Then Shikhar Dhawan and Virat kohli built partnership and take India’s total past 100 in 21st over. Both batsmen had 129 runs partnership for second wicket. Dhawan run out on 73.

After this Suresh Raina came to crease and gave full support to Kohli. Virat Kohli reached to his hundred in 119 balls and he is now at the level with Sourav Ganguly in hitting ODIs hundred. Ganguly hit 22 One-Day centuries in his career. Virat Kohli made 107 runs in 126 balls.

Kohli’s inning led India to score 300 runs in 50 overs.
