Serena Williams qualifies for Australian Open 2015 quarterfinal

Serena Williams has defeated Garbine Muguruza in the fourth round of 2015 Australian Open. She beats Muguruza by 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 to qualify for the quarterfinal round of prestigious Grand Slam. American tennis star Williams will play Slovakia’s Dominika Cibulkova in the quarterfinal match.

Number 24 seeded Muguruza played good and challenging tennis in the first set and beat Serena by 6-2. Serena Williams also mentioned after the match that Garbine played hard and she was hitting the ball very well. Serena said, “She hits the ball really, really big, really, really hard.”

America No.1 seed Williams was a bit of lacking in the first game set as she is not even fully fit to play. She has been suffering from some general illness since past few days. Serena Williams said, “I’ve been a little sick the past couple days but I just love it here. Someone in the crowd was like ‘C’mon Serena use spin’ and I was like ‘OK.’ There’s coaches everywhere out here! Thank you.”

At the low phase of Serena inspired herself by motivating her that she is the winner of tournament for the five times and she can do it again. She said, “When I got down, I was thinking, “What can I do now? Whatever happens, I thought, I’ve won this five times. I just walked onto the court and all great memories came to my mind. I thought ‘I’m a great player and I can do it.”
