Sharapova to face Bouchard in Australian Open 2015 quarterfinal

Russian women tennis star Maria Sharapova has qualified for the quarterfinal match by defeating China women Shuai Peng. Sharapova defeated Shuai Peng in the fourth round of Australia Open 2015. She beat Shuai in direct sets 6-3, 6-0.

Eugenie Bouchard defeated Irina-Camelia Begu by 6-1, 5-7 and 6-2 in 4th round to make it in quarterfinal.

The quarterfinal between Sharapova and Bouchard is going to be exciting thriller as whenever these two beauties met on the court the game ended at full excitement. Three times these two met each other and every time 27 years old Maria defeated Eugenie.

In last meet at French Open semi-final Maria Sharapova defeated Bouchard after losing the first set. Eugenie is now eager to register first win against Maria. She has still remembered the French Open defeat and Bouchard said, “I kind of just remember a grind. I felt like I was close with her. I remember that.”

“I remember I had chances and stuff. I just remember a really tough match. And I was pretty disappointed afterwards, so that’s definitely motivating,” She added.

Maria Sharapova will be looking to win her second Australian Open in 2015 as she won Australian open first time in 2008. She also believes that Bouchard is a good player and hopes that she’ll give tough challenge to her in Tuesday’s quarterfinal.

Sharapova said, “”She’s been playing really well in this tournament, and also in the Slams the last year. Really confident tennis and inspired form. I expect her to play a really good match.”

“We only played one time last year, which was at the French, and that was a really tough match for me. I had to come back from being down one set to love. I’m sure she’ll come out and play extremely well,” Maria added.
