South Africa set 298 runs target (D/L) for New Zealand in semifinal

In rain interrupted world cup semi-final South Africa has set 298 runs target for New Zealand in 43 overs per side match. Originally Proteas team made 281 runs in 43 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. After completion of 38th over rain started at Eden Park which forced umpires to stop the game for a while. It almost took an hour to start the match again. David Milller played 49 runs crucial inning in 18 balls.

Faf Du Plessis scored valuable 82 runs in 107 balls. After winning toss South Africa chose to bat and they lost two quick wickets in first 8 overs when their score was just 31. After this Rossouw and Du Plessis built 87 runs partnership for third wicket. Corey Anderson dismissed Rossouw when Proteas score was 114. Captain AB De Villiers and Faf Du Plessis added 103 runs for 4th wicket partnership.
