Tokyo Olympics 2020 hockey: Belgium beat Indian Men’s 5-2 to reach final

Belgium national men’s hockey team have beaten up India in the semifinal of Tokyo Olympics to qualify for the final match. Drag flicker Alexander Hendrickx was the hero for Belgium in the crucial knockout match as he scored hat-trick of goals in 19th, 49th and 53rd minute to make sure his team will play for gold.

First quarter of the match of amazing for both the sides as first goal of the knockout was scored in 2nd minute of the game for Belgium meanwhile India got lead in the 9th minute when Mandeep Singh net the ball after Harmanpreet Singh’s equalizer in 7th minute.

In the second quarter, both teams tried hard but couldn’t get enough chance though Belgium succeed to equal the scoreline and both teams were 2-2 after 30 minutes. Third quarter went goalless and now the winner to be decided in the 4th quarter.

Those for critical 15 minutes for Indian men’s team which was playing semifinal after 41 years long wait. But world champion Belgium had different plans and they scored three goals in the quarter to make sure India to wait more for gold in hockey at Olympics games.

It was clinical performance from Men in Blues an still there is hope for medal and India will not play Bronze medal match.
