World Cup 2015 Semi-Final: Defending Champions vs Favorites

First semi-final of 2015 world cup was played between two teams who never appeared in a world cup final and now second semifinal match is scheduled to play between two teams who have lift in cricket world cup on at least two occasions. Yes in the 2nd semifinal of 11th world cup two times title winner and defending champions India to meet four times world cricket champion Australia on 26 March.

This year India is the defending champion is tournament as they won 2011 world cup whereas on the other hand Australian team is playing at their home and they are favorites to win the competition. Indian camp was not favorite to win the world cup and even nobody was expecting them to get here the way they had been playing cricket before starting of tournament.

India lost all tri-match series matches and failed to register single win in test series against Australia. On the other hand Australian side has been playing some great cricket. Australia beat Sri Lanka, England, Pakistan to make it through semis whereas Indian team is unbeaten throughout the tournament so far and win all played seven games.

Australia won world cups in 1987, 1999, 2003 and 2007 whereas India became world cricket champions in 1983 and 2011. Hence it is confirmed that one of these two sides will have one more opportunity to win world cup and make their country proud.

Australia has got advantage as they are playing in their home conditions and will have great support.

But the fact is Indian team wherever played they got like home environment as lots of Indian supporters were there in match. The whole stadium turned into blue sea.
