KXIP 2019 squad, Team, Players List

Kings XI Punjab who are yet to win maiden IPL trophy, will compete in the 12th edition of Indian Premier League. KXIP were runner-up in the 2014 season. The squad of Kings XI Punjab has been altering over the years which didn’t make team composition settled.

For 2019 IPL, KXIP retained just ten players before going into players auction. Ravichandran Ashwin will be leading Kings 11 Punjab in the next IPL season as well and it would be interesting to see how he leads the side. He was quite good in the previous 2018 edition with captaincy.

Chris Gayle and KL Rahul are the settled opening pair for Punjabis and team to look for good middle order batsmen in the auction. David Miller and Karun Nair are key middle order batsmen in the KXIP lineup.

KXIP bought uncapped star all-rounder Varun Chakaravarhy for massive 8.4 crore INR in the players auction. The all-rounder has terrific capability of hitting ball all over the park. Apart from him, team purchased English all-rounder Sam Curran who could play crucial role for Kings XI in the forthcoming event.

The third notable all-rounding option KXIP chose is Australian cricketer Moises Henriques who can contribute well with bat and ball.

Kings XI Punjab also purchased two wicket-keepers Prabhsimran Singh and Nicolas Pooran. Adding Pooran to their squad will surely boost their middle order and he is one of the top batting sensations for Windies team.
