New Zealand beat Scotland by 3 wickets in world cup 2015

Blackcaps have defeated Scotland cricket team by 3 wickets and 25.1 overs left in their innings. In the 6th match of 2015 world cup New Zealand won toss and chose to bowl first. Their decision was proved right when Scotland lost top 4 batsmen on the score of 12 in 5th over. Trent Boult and Tim Southee took 2-2 wickets at the beginning of match and Scotland was in trouble.

Matt Machan and Richie Berrington built 97 runs valuable partnership for Scottish side. Both batsmen took team’s total past 100 in 27th over. Corey Anderson came into play and he took Machan and Berrington’s wickets in consecutive two overs. Scotland was now 117/6 in 30 overs. After this no other batsman could score more and whole team dismissed in 36.2 overs on 142 runs.

Corey Anderson and Daniel Vettori took 3-3 wickets each in Scotland innings. This was easy total for Kiwi team as they are in such a superb form. But in this small runs chase NZ lost 7 wickets to register second victory in 2015 cricket world cup. Kane Williamson was the top scorer for Blackcaps in this inning as he made 38 runs in 45 balls.

Iain Wardlaw and Josh Davey took 3-3 wickets each in the New Zealand inning.
