The way Proteas defeated Sri Lanka in the quarter-final match it seemed that they are in great touch and ready to win world cup for the first time but they have to beat home team New Zealand to get into finals. South Africa never played a cricket world cup final and will be desperate to reach this time. SA played 1992, 1999 and 2007 cricket world cup semi-finals but failed to qualify in the finals.

NZ vs SA Semi-Final World Cup 2015 Preview, Predictions.

For South Africa it seemed that they have got pattern to reach in semis after 1992 as in previous three semi-finals they skipped 1-1 cricket world cup tournament to reach in the semi-final. This time history repeated as well as they didn’t play 2011 world cup semi-final and now appearing in 2015 semifinal. In 2011 ICC world cup South Africa met New Zealand in quarter-final at Dhaka where Kiwis beat them. So Proteas side will be eager to take revenge of that knocked out defeat.

New Zealand team has been unbeaten in the tournament so far and they beat Australia, Sri Lanka, England and West Indies teams to get here in the semifinal. On the other hand South Africa managed to beat West Indies and Sri Lanka in this year’s world cup. Their defeat against India and Pakistan were unexpected.

Bad news for Blackcaps is that their key fast bowler Adam Milne has been ruled out from world cup due to heel injury. Hence Captain Brendon McCullum has to make at least one change from winning XI of last match in tomorrow’s semifinal clash. Matt Henry is included in Kiwi team and for tomorrow’s knockout game we can expect that Kyle Miles or Henry may play Tuesday’s semi-final.

South Africa has got good news as Vernon Philander is now fully fit to be a part of tomorrow’s semifinal battle. Captain Ab De Villers has to take decision whether he wants to go with inform Kyle Abbott or all-rounder Philander. Let’s see who plays semi-final tomorrow. Let’s have a look at the probable playing XIs for South Africa and New Zealand.
