Axar Patel wants to be in India’s ICC world T20 2016 Squad

Indian spinner Axar Patel desires to represent country in ICC T20 World Cup next year. Recently Axar played his first ever T20 international match against Zimbabwe and after that match he spoke to BCCI. In that interview he’s mentioned that he is treating every match like an opportunity to get closer to seal his berth in Indian team for 2016 ICC world t20.

Axar said, “I really want to be part of the World Twenty squad and every match I play I take it as an opportunity to strengthen my case for that tournament.”

So he has set career goal for now is to be a part of Indian team. Further he mentioned, “If I do well in one game, I will get a chance in the next. And if I keep doing that over the next year, I will be part of the World Twenty20. That is the long-term goal for now.”

Bowler credits his success to Indian Premier League as he mentions that IPL is a great platform and it gives opportunities to youngsters like him to learn how to play and deal at international level. The atmosphere he gets during 45 days of IPL is incredible and it strengthens him.

He said, “With the IPL back home we youngsters gain a lot and learn so much.
