Afghanistan beat Bangladesh to win 2nd test in their 3rd test

Historic moment in Afghanistan cricket as they’ve tasted second victory in test cricket in their just third test. Doing this, they’ve joined Australia for this remarkable feat of wining two tests in just their third match. Afghanistan national side beaten Bangladesh by huge margin of 224 runs in the only test match played at Chattogram.

It was such a fantastic victory for Afghanistan side with their new skipper Rashid Khan who was sensational throughout the match. First he won toss and chose to bat. Visitors posted 342 runs competitive score on the board that was an up-heal task for home side under such excellent conditions for bowling.

Rahmat Shah was the star of first innings for Afghanistan as scored fantastic century and became first batsman to score test century for national team. Asghar Afghan played 92 runs innings too in the first innings. Rashid Khan scored crucial 51 runs to take team’s total 342.

In reply, Bangladesh all out on just 205 that gave Afghanistan healthy 137 runs lead in the second innings. Captain Rashid Khan took 5 wickets in Bangladesh innings and that was setup for Afghanistani batsmen to score more runs and put pressure on home team.

In the second innings, Afghanistan made 260 that took team’s lead to 397 and set a target of 398 for Bangladesh in the fourth innings of match. The luck was favoring to Bangladesh on the 5th day of match as heavy rain was there and by seeing weather conditions, it was assuming that game would be called off and home side would skip the defeat. But later one hour game was played and that sealed victory for visitors.

Rashid Khan was the star again for Afghanistan as he dismissed six Bangladeshi batsmen in the innings to get 11 wickets in the match. He was announced man of the match for his 10+ wickets and a half century in the first innings.

Only Australia achieved the milestone of wining two tests in played first three matches of international cricket.
