CONMEBOL confirms 2019 Copa America Venues and Dates

South American football federation CONMEBOL has confirmed the venues and dates for 2019 Copa America which is scheduled for Brazil next year. Rio De Janerio’s marquee Maracana stadium will be hosting the final of 46th Copa America.

Opening match of competition has been allotted to Morumbi Stadium. Arena de Gremio, Mineirao, Allianz Parque and Arena Fonte Nova are the other Copa America 2019 tournament hosting venues.

In a CONMEBOL meeting took place on Tuesday at Bolivia’s capital La Paz, the confusion of event hosting dates were thrashed as committee announced that 2019 Copa America to kick off on June 14 with opening ceremony and match at Morumbi while final to play in Rio De Janerio on 7th July.

Earlier there were favors to host Brazil event from 6 to 30 June but in the meeting, members voted for original dates.

Porto Alegre’s Arena de Gremio and the Belo Horizonte’s Mineirao to host semi-finals of 46th edition of Copa America.

Chilean team is the two time title defending champion in 12-team 2019 Copa America. Japan and Qatar are two Asian countries participating in tournament.
