ESPN to broadcast Pepsi IPL in US Region for next 3 years

BCCI Marketing Committee has awarded Media Rights to ESPN network for broadcasting Pepsi Indian Premier League for next three years (2015, 2016 and 2017) in United States region. So now twenty20 cricket fans in U.S. region can enjoy world’s popular IPL tournament.

ESPN to broadcast Pepsi IPL in US Region for next 3 years.

There were three companies in the race to get Pepsi IPL media rights but ESPN wins the media rights by defeating Willow and Times Internet. ESPN will have to pay a fee of USD 12.4 million dollars for three year time period.

BCCI Honorable Secretary Sanjay Patel said, “We are delighted to have entered into a strategic partnership with one of the leading platforms of global sport, M/S ESPN, which will deliver the widest possible reach ever for the Pepsi IPL in the United States.”

IPL 2015 has been scheduled to hold from 8 April to 24 May.
