Scoring hat-trick in big football matches of world class events like FIFA Confederations Cup is never been easy. Still we have seen 12 hat-tricks in FIFA Confederations Cup till date since tournament’s inception in 1997.

If you don’t know what a hat-trick in football is, then for your knowledge “A hat trick in football is said when a player scores three goals in a single match.”

First ever hat trick of championship was scored by Czech Republic star Vladimir Smicer during 1997 Confed. cup match against United Arab Emirates. The recent hat trick was scored by Uruguay footballer Abel Hernandez during 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup match against Tahiti.

Spain’s Fernando Torres is the only player to hit two hat tricks in FIFA Confederations Cup. He also became only footballer to score hat-trick in two different editions of prestigious event. Torres scored his first hat trick against New Zealand in 2009 meanwhile second came against Tahiti in 2013.
