ICC World Twenty20 2016 logo has been launched

International Cricket Council have launched the logo for ICC Twenty20 world cup 2016 which is set to stage in India. ICC unveiled the logo and teaser on their official twitter account. There will be 16 teams participating in the prestigious competition. 

ICC quoted, “Here is the world first viewing of the ICC World Twenty20 2016 logo. #WT20 It’s coming to India, March 2016!”

It will be sixth edition of ICC World T20 that will be played between 11 March and 3 April. 6 Associate member teams Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Oman, Afghanistan and Hong Kong will be playing the first stage of championship along with two full time members Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Two teams from this first stage will make it through to second round where already 8 teams have qualified.

Sri Lanka cricket team will be the title defenders in wt20 2016 as they won 2014 t20 world cup against India in the final. So far 5 editions of ICC World Twenty20 have been concluded and India, Pakistan, England, West Indies and Sri Lanka have claimed the trophy 1-1 time each.
