India beat Poland by 3-0 in the Hockey World League semi-finals

Indian Men’s Hockey Team has won their second game of 2015 Fintro Hockey World League semi-finals by defeating Poland. This was a crucial match for India to gain their confidence ahead of big clash against arch rival Pakistan on 26 June. India defeated Poland by 3-0 score and earned a convincing win as Indian team won first game only by 1 goal margin against France.

India beat Poland by 3-0 in the Hockey World League semi-finals.

From the starting of match, Indian forwards were on the role and desperate to score the goal. Not only Indians but also Polish players were trying hard to score the goal but failed to do so and first quarter ended at nil scores. In the second quarter of the match, Men in Blue were looking more aggressive than before and Yuvraj Walmiki hit the first goal of the match in 23rd minute to take Indian team ahead in the match.

At the end of 2nd quarter India was leading with 1:0. In the third quarter 17 FIH rank Poland team was trying to scores the level but India’s vice captain and goalkeeper PR Sreejesh never allowed them to score the goal. Captain Sardar Singh was again lead the team from front and score the second goal for India in 42nd match with a beauty. At the end of 3rd quarter India was leading with 2:0 and Polish shoulders were down.

In the final quarter of match, India’s Devindar Sunil Walmiki scored the third goal of the match for India and confirmed the India’s victory. After winning the match, Indian captain Sardar Singh mentioned that team played well and are ready for the battle against Pakistan on 26.

Sardar Singh said, “We played very well in today’s match and we are satisfied with our performance against Poland. They are a good team and playing against them was a challenge for us. But we have improved our game from the previous match and we are quite happy with the result. We are focusing on our strategies match by match and the next match against Pakistan will be special. We are getting ready for the clash.”
