If this happens, we can three ICC World Twenty20 champions will see each other in group matches as India won inaugural edition of ICC World Twenty20 in 2007 whereas Pakistan won it in 2009 and West Indies became champions of 2012 T20 world cup.

Sri Lanka will be the defending champion in 2016 Twenty20 world cup as they won 2014 crown by defeating India in the final. This will be the sixth edition of T20 cricket’s prestigious event and 16 teams will be taking participation in it. It will be held from 11th of March to 3rd of April.
