The tournament is already announced to be hosted in India from 8 March to 3 April. There are a total 16 teams will be participating in the competition and Sri Lanka will be the title defending team.
There are 8 major cities in India will be hosting this sixth edition of T20 World Cup. New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Dharamshala, Mohali, Kolkata, Nagpur and Bengaluru are named the official venues for 2016 ICC World Twenty20. Kolkata’s Eden Gardens Stadium will be hosting the final match competition on 3 April.
