India will play as favorites in the tournament and team to look repeat 1983 history under Virat Kohli’s leadership in 2019. Men in Blue have got settled opening batting line up and bowlers quota. Indian team schedule for ICC world cup 2019

Top order is quite settled for India as Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma are doing well for the side and if none of these two get injured, we’ll see them opening at 12th cricket world cup. And if one of them misses, we can find Lokesh Rahul at the opening slot.

Also Prithvi Shaw who has been terrific in test cricket, may get opportunity as well.

Captain Virat Kohli is settled at number 3 in ODIs and team management won’t experiment with it. The actual problem Men In Blue is having of no. 4. Kedar Jadhav is the front runner to bat on that position. Coach Ravi Shastri and skipper Kohli are in favor of all-rounder Jadhav. But he is having injury concerns on regular basis. Hence it will be interesting to see if he gets chance.

Rishabh Pant who is also a wicket-keeper will be an interesting choice to go with number four in ICC world cup. He provides second wicket-keeper option and deputy to MS Dhoni. Eventually if we see India’s middle order, we can see Dhoni batting at 4 and 5 positions. Nowadays he is not in prime form for which he was known for. Hence he can be promoted at the top of the order to get more time and balls to settle down.

MSD can bat at 5 if four number is not given to him. Hardik Pandya is a valuable lower middle order batsman. Hence if we collectively look at the Indian line-up, we can see Jadhav, Pant, Dhoni, Pandya are the key players for Men In Blue. Manish Pandey will be the extra choice for team India in the squad for CWC19.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami are the front-line fast bowlers for 2015 world cup semifinalist. Umesh Yadav will also be an another pace bowling option in the Indian roster. Meanwhile Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvender Chahal are the key spinners in the team.
