It gives just 120 balls to each team with 11 players and thus gives a chance for the batting team to take more risks than in a 50 over game. His century consisted of 16 sixes and more boundaries as he recorded the highest ever score in English T20.

In his debut for Somerset, Gayle took them apart and scored an unbeaten century but couldn’t help his team win the match as they felt agonizingly short of an over 200 target set by Kent. In this innings, Gayle sent 15 balls over the rope and also scored 10 boundaries to give Somerset a sniff at victory. He has proved himself once again and this time showed that he is capable of doing it in different parts of the world.

Aaron Finch

The opening bat for Australia, Aaron Finch is someone who relies on brute force. He plays as if he believes in hitting the ball as hard as he can. He has a unique ability to produce great power in shots without a huge bat lift and seems to have every shot in the book. Finch smashed a fierce 156 against the England team who were in form before the game. He scored 14 sixes in this innings and took Australia to a comfortable victory against their rivals.

C Williams

One player who is not so popular, Williams a batsman from Namibia produced a brilliant T20 knock against fellow minnows Scotland in 2011. Williams scored 116 runs in 48 balls to help Namibia secure an easy win against Scotland. Williams blasted the ball to all parts of the ground in this innings. He scored 14 sixes in his 116 run knock and this made the whole world pay attention to a new cricketer. However, he never was able to produce another innings like that and now seems to be forgotten.
