Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu tells Sportsmirchi that Indian cricket team is the favorite to win upcoming Asia Cup and team will beat Pakistan in the group match of championship. In a short 2-minute interview, Sidhu favorites Men in Blue to retain Asia Cup title despite team’s bad run in tests in England. He said, “England and UAE are two different venues and team India will do better in United Arab Emirates conditions. Pitches will be batting friendly and ball won’t swing as much as it is in England. So we can hope India to play better and retain title.”

The last time India and Pakistan met in an international cricket match was in 2017 when both sides met in ICC Champions Trophy final where Men in Green beat India with a comprehensive margin and became champions. Sidhu mentioned that India would not repeat CT final mistake.

Virat Kohli thinks it's perfect time for India to beat Australia.

“Virat Kohli team won’t repeat the mistakes they did in last year’s Champions Trophy final and we’ll see India beating Pak on 19th,” Sidhu said.

Navjot Sidhu came to Pakistan for attending country’s legendary cricketer Imran Khan’s oath ceremony as IK becomes 22nd Primer Minister of Pakistan on Saturday.

Asia Cup is scheduled to take place in UAE between 15 and 28 September and arch rivals India to meet Pakistan on 19 at Dubai International Stadium.
