The latest media reports claim that upcoming Vivo Indian Premier League 2020 players auction is all set to be held in Kolkata. To give something fresh to IPL auction, BCCI has decided to change the venue of auction from traditional Bengaluru to Kolkata.
IPL 2020’s auction will be the last one that will be done on the small scale as Board of Cricket Control in India has decided to organize a mega auction for 2021 edition and all teams will have to start from zero to pick squads. It is also understand by ESPNcricinfo that teams have been informed that trading window of players would close by 14 November.
Initially the franchises have been allotted 85 Crore Indian rupees to spend on players for building team for IPL 2020. Delhi Capitals have the maximum purse of 7.
