Tamim, Rahim tons guide Bangladesh to beat Pakistan in first ODI

Bangladesh Cricket Team has beaten Pakistan in the 1st One-Day International match of 2015 bilateral series. Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim hit brilliants centuries to guide Bangladesh to put up 329 runs in 50 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. In this chase, Pakistan were all out on 250 runs in the 46th over of match. Mushfiqur Rahim was awarded Man of The Match.

Bangladesh won toss and chose to bat. Iqbal and Saumya gave good start and added 48 runs for the first wicket. Wahab Riaz showed excellent fielding work and did Saumya Sarkar run out. In the 20th over, BAN also lost Mahmudullah. Bangladesh was struggling at 67/2 in 20 overs.

Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim took responsibilities and took team’s total past 200 in 37th over. Tamim Iqbal completed century in 112 balls. Wahab Riaz took Iqbal’s crucial wicket in the 42nd over of the match and Iqbal returned to pavilion after scoring 132 in 135 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 15 fours. Rahim and Iqbal added 178 runs for the 3rd wicket partnership which is a record partnership.

Mushfiqur Rahim was playing more aggressive inning than Iqbal and after opener’s dismissal, Rahim started to play more aggressive in the last overs of inning. Wicket-keeper batsman scored 106 runs in 77 balls by hitting 13 boundaries and 2 sixes. Bangladesh made record 329 runs in 50 overs.

Pakistan got good start in the chase of 330 runs target and openers Azhar Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed added 53 runs in 11th over. Arafat Sunny dismissed Sarfraz on 24. Mohammad Hafeez came to bat but he couldn’t contribute more than 4 runs in team’s total. Captain Azhar Ali and Haris Sohail started to build partnership and both guys added 89 runs in the 3rd wicket partnership.

Azhar Ali made 72 before getting dismissed by Taskin Ahmed. Taskin also took wicket of Haris in 32nd over when Pakistan was struggling at 175. After this no other Pakistani batsman could play big inning except Mohammad Rizman who made 67 in 58 balls but failed to take team on winning node. Whole Pakistan got all out on 250 hence Bangladesh won the match by 79 runs.
