It was fabulous first semi-final match of hockey India league played between Ranchi Rays and Uttar Pradesh Wizards today at Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi. In the cracking semifinal Ranchi Rays defeated Uttar Pradesh Wizards by 9-8 score in penalty shootout as after full time both teams were at 1-1 all score.

Ranchi Rays captain Ashley Jackson was declared Man of The Match for his brilliant performance whereas Daniel Beale was awarded Hero Goal of the match. It was spectacular 1st semifinal match of Hero Hockey India League 2015. Winning this match RR have qualified for final which is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Delhi.

After qualifying in the final Jackson said, “We are happy that we finally won. We played very well. We had many chances but we could not capitalise.
