Hero Hockey India League 2015 Fixtures announced, Ranchi Rays & Dabang Mumbai New Teams
Hockey India declares the 2015 Hockey India League (HIL) which is scheduled to begin on 22 January. It is Hockey India League’s third edition and its opening match has been scheduled to be held at the new Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. The ‘Kalinga Lancers’ will take on Ranchi Rays (debutants) in first match of HIL 2015.
Delhi Wave Riders will face the revenge wrath from Uttar Pradesh Wizards (UP Wizards), who were expelled in the semi-finals of 2014 edition on the following day 23rd January at Lucknow.
Dabang Mumbai has replaced Mumbai Magicians.

They will now undertake Jaypee Punjab Warriors at their Mahindra Hockey Stadium in Mumbai on 23rd January. The upcoming season will have around 6 main teams as listed below:
- Dabang Mumbai (DM)
- Delhi Wave Riders (DWR)
- Kalinga Lancers (KL)
- Ranchi Rays (RR)
- Japyee Punjab Warriors (JPW)
- Uttar Pradesh Wizards (UPW)
PR Sreejesh, the Indian Hockey goalkeeper, who starred against Pakistan at Incheon, South Korea for the 2014 Asian Games finale, will be representing the UP Wizards. According to Sreejesh, he is extremely happy about the present schedule for Hero Hockey India League 2015. He is also quite excited about playing for Uttar Pradesh Wizards from this season onwards.
The esteemed panel comprises of highly experienced umpires from all across the globe who have conducted loads of matches in various reputed tournaments. These include:
- David Tomlinson of New Zealand
- Francisco Vazquez of Spain
- German Montes de Oca of Argentina
- Grant Hundley of USA
- Jakub Mejzlik of Czech Republic
- Marcin Grochal of Poland
All of the above mentioned veterans will be umpiring matches of 2015 edition of Hero Hockey India League. Additionally, HIL will also be appointing a panel for Indian Umpires for the tournament. The semi-finals for the games will be played at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, in capital city of India, New Delhi.

The final is scheduled for 22nd February at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium. A total of 34 matches will be played throughout the competition.
