Hockey India has announced the final 18 players squad of women’s national team for World Hockey League round-2 to be held in India. Ritu Rani will be leading Indian women’s at the tournament.

Midfielder Ritu has represented India in 193 matches.
Indian women’s team is placed in the Pool A of World Hockey League round two and will be facing Poland, Ghana and Thailand in the first stage. India to play opening match of tournament on 7 March against Ghana at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium. Pool B consists of Russia, Malaysia, Singapore and Kazakhstan.
World Hockey League Round-2 will be played from 7 to 15 March.
Hockey India secretary general Mushtaque Ahmad said, “This team is full of confidence and an urge to win. They proved this during the recent Spain tour where they gave Germany a tough time and beat them 2-1. Going by their present form, I am sure the girls will continue their good show in the upcoming league and win. I wish them all the best.”
