Australia

The Australian Cricket Team in Carlton Tri-Series will be led by Vice-captain George Bailey as Michael Clarke is unfit and he’ll be fit in next 4-5 weeks. Australia top order will be having Warner, Finch and Watson. David Warner and Aaron Finch may open for the team if Finch plays. Team management may think to give Mitchel Marsh chance to play in playing XI against England as he is returning from injury. In this case Watson may open the batting with Warner.

Middle Order has stability insights of captain Bailey, Maxwell, Steven Smith and Haddin. Glenn Maxwell is in tremendous form as he scored 136 runs for Prime Minister XI against England XI on 14 January 2015. Australian pace attack is always there for them to take early wickets. Mitchell Johnson, Hazlewood and Faulkner are supposed to play the first ODI of tri-series against England. Spinner Xavier Doherty may also be included in Australia’s playing 11 and if he doesn’t play Mitchel Starc may get place in the final team.

England

After losing ODI series against Sri Lanka last year England cricket team reached to Australia with their new One-Day international Captain Eoin Morgan. The good thing for English team is that they had won practice match against Prime Ministers 11 and top order batting looked decent. Ian Bell made 187 run in a total of 391 runs. Moeen Ali and James Taylor played good supportive innings as well in that match. So these three will be at the top inn batting order for English in first ODI.

Middle order is okay with Root, Morgan, Bopara and Buttler. Bowling department is a concern area for England as in warm-up game bowlers were hammered 331 runs though they bowled out Prime Minister XI in 48.1 overs. Broad and Woakes bowled tightly but other bowlers need to work well.
