Argentina Squad announced for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019

Argentina national women’s football team squad has been announced for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2019 in France. The interesting fact about Argentine side is that only 9 professional female players are the part of 23-member roster. It will be first occasion when Argentina women’s team to compete in FIFAWWC in 12 years as last time team appeared in 2007 edition.

Levante’s Estefani Banini is one of the key players in Argentina roster which will rely on star striker Soledad Jaimes who won Women’s Champions League playing for Lyon. The disappointing figure for the team is that Argentina never won a single match in FIFA women’s world cup when they appeared in 2003 and 2007 editions.
