But decision didn’t work for him as whole England team dismissed for 112 runs in the second session of day-1.

India lost three wickets at the end of first day and were looking pretty good to get good lead on second day. But things changed dramatically on day 2 and Indian team just managed to get 35 runs lead. English skipper got 5 wickets on this turning track.

India all-out England on 81 in the second inning and thus India required 49 runs to win the match. Axar Patel took 5 wickets in the 2nd innings that makes 11 wickets for him in the match. Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill chased the target comfortably without any hurdle and India got the 2-1 lead in the series.

One more test is there to be played in the series and if India wins it, they’ll through to world test championship final against New Zealand otherwise Australia will through if England wins it.

The fourth test of England tour of India 2021 will be played from 4 March.
