Top seed Serena Williams, Timea Bacsinszky, Heather Watson and Karolina Pliskova have advanced to the Indian Wells Masters 2015 tournament and will play fourth round. British star Watson is the most highlighted player of third round as she beat world number 8 player Radwanska to register her career’s biggest win.
This is the first occasion when Heater has defeated a top ten rank player. She beat Radwanska in straight sets by 6-4, 6-4 to qualify for the fourth round of BNP Paribas Open. Heater Watson also accepted that she played well against Radwanska and hopeful to carry on her momentum in upcoming big matches.
Watson said, “I knew I’d have to play extremely well today, be patient and pull the trigger at the right time. I think I found that balance very well today. I was just as happy winning my first round and my second round. I`m still in the tournament. The job`s not done, so I can`t be on like cloud nine or anything. I have just got to stay focused on the next task at hand.”
On the other hand world number one Serena Williams defeated Kazakhstan’s Zarina Diyas 6-2, 6-0 to display her best performance in the competition so far. Australian Open 2015 winner Serena took 53 minutes to beat Zarina. After post match conference she mentioned that she was feeling well in the tournament and happy to receive the support from audience.
Serena said, “This is going in the right direction. I was able to be a little more consistent today. I’m really glad to still be here and in the tournament. I love the support.”
