Brazil named 23-man Squad for 2019 Copa America

2019 Copa America hosts Brazil has announced the final 23-man squad for the upcoming premium South American football championship. Selecao to chase their 9th Copa America title this year and first time in last 12 years as coach Tite announced Brazilian side that would miss two high profile Real Madrid footballers.

Vinicius Junior, Marcelo and Stalwart Fabinho are the notable omissions from Brazil’s Copa America roster.

Brazil is placed in group-A along with Bolivia, Venezuela and Peru in the 46th edition of Copa America. Home team to compete Bolivia in the opening game of competition on 14th June. The announced Selecao squad will also be facing Qatar and Honduras in the preparation soccer games on 5 and 9 June.

Neymar Jr. was ruled out from the tournament with injury and Willian was called in the Brazilian roster to replace him.

Defenders: Alex Sandro, Eder Militao, Daniel Alves, Filipe Luis, Fagner, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Miranda.

Midfielders: Allan, Casemiro, Arthur, Coutinho, Fernandinho, Paqueta.

Forwards: Neres, Firmino, Willian, Everton, Richarlison, Gabriel Jesus.
