Portugal captain and legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 100th international goal for national team playing UEFA Nations League match against Sweden on Tuesday. Ronaldo achieved the historic feat in the extra minutes of first half when he converted free-kick into the goal.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored another goal in the match when he took team’s tally to 2-0 in the 73rd minute of the match. This was CR7’s 165th match for Portuguese team.
Iran’s Ali Daei is at the top at the moment for scoring most international goals with 109 goals against his name. With Ronaldo scoring two against Swedish side, he is just 8 goals away to Daei’s number.
The first goal was special for Juventus star as he was making comeback to the field after recovering from toe infection. Ronaldo has scored international goals for Portugal in successive 17 years.
