After a lot of controversy and delayed, the BCCI finally accepted to send a team from India to play Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe in July this year. They officially announced that Team India will tour Zimbabwe for a 3 ODI and 2 T20 series which will commence on the 10th of July. In this article, we bring you all the details about the tour including the Schedule of the matches to be played along with the Squads of the teams.
The rift between both boards of cricket which almost led to the tour being cancelled is understood to be, because the BCCI was unhappy with the telecast of the event by the Ten Network which is a subsidiary of the Essel Group. The Essel Group has recently revealed its plan to start a new anti-establishment T20 league which rattled the ICC.

Though the Zimbabwe team has not reached a status of a cricketing power, they are a gritty group of player and will give their everything as was seen in the recently concluded series against Pakistan. They will prove to be a hard team to beat and India should not allow any form of complacency to set in if they are to avoid any further embarrassment like in Bangladesh.
