American singer and songwriter, Josh Groban is set to perform on the opening night of 2015 US Open Championship on 31st August. This is going to be the first occasion when Josh will be performing in such a big sporting event. The musical night performance of Groban will feature selected songs from his latest studio album “Stages.”

Stages album was released on 28 April, 2015 which Josh described as “gorgeously arranged songs that have stood the test of time.” Basically it is a collection of some of the greatest musical theater songs of all time. So it will be an electrifying US Open opening night on 31st August, 2015.

Not only Josh Groban but also there will be other performers in the event. In the likes of Rob Thomas, Ariana Grande, Gloria Estefan, Chris Botti, Lenny Kravitz and Aretha Franklin, fans will enjoy the musical night on 31 August at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Opening ceremony will also feature some important guests including former world number 1 Billie Jean King.

She will be welcoming fans for 135th US Open edition in the presence of USTA Chairman of Board, President and CEO Katrina Adams.
