Sri Lanka cricket stars Tillakaratne Dilshan, Lasith Malinga and Mahela Jayawardene are going to play third edition of Caribbean Premier League in July-August month. Both these three cricketers have been included in the pool of international overseas players for CPL Draft 2015. Former South Africa cricket legend Jacques Kallis has already been included 2015 Caribbean Premier League draft.
Lasith Malinga had already taken part in this West Indies popular twenty20 league in 2013. Malinga played CPL 2013 for Guyana Amazon Warriors. For 2015 CPLT20 Malinga said, “I really enjoyed my time in the CPL in 2013 and I’m thrilled to be involved again for the 2015 edition. Caribbean fans are fantastic and it’s a pleasure to play cricket in that kind of atmosphere.”
Last year Kevin Pietersen was one of the biggest names in Caribbean Premier League draft. This year it seems more big players to come West Indies for playing T20 competition. Dilshan, Malinga and Jayawardene also play Indian Premier League and will feature in West Indies twenty20 tournament.
Dilshan said, “CPL seems to be attracting some of the top names in the game so I am really looking forward to being involved again in 2015 and hope to make my mark on the tournament.”
Mahela Jayawardene said, “I’ve loved playing cricket in the West Indies throughout my career so I am really looking forward to having the opportunity to take part in the CPL in 2015.”
