New Zealand reach world cup semi-final by beating West Indies

New Zealand cricket team has qualified for 2015 world cup semifinal by defeating West Indies in the fourth quarter-final on Saturday. Kiwi team threatened Caribbean side by 143 runs to set up world cup semi-final against South Africa on 24 March, 2015 at Auckland. Martin Guptil was declared Man of The Match for his first double hundred.

From the starting of match Blackcaps were heavy on West Indies and after winning toss they chose to bat first on good Wellington track. Opener Guptil scored the brilliant 237 runs in 163 balls to help New Zealand put 393 runs on scoreboard.

In the chase of 394 runs target whole West Indies team got all out in 31st over after scoring 250. Chris Gayle was the highest run scorer for Caribbean side as he made 61 in 33 balls with the help of 8 sixes and two fours. Trent Boult took 4 wickets in Blackcaps inning.
