Brazil coach Tite has insisted that national football team must make it through to next year’s Copa America final. Ahead of Uruguay’s friendly game, Selecao manager said reaching final of Copa America 2019 would team’s minimum goal. And if team couldn’t do so, it would be a failure of Brazil.
“We must play very well, and we must win, we must be champions. At a minimum, we must reach the final. And, before that, have a good performance. I say it because we culturally live in a country that lives football,” Brazilian manager Title said in a press conference.
Brazil to host 46th edition of Copa America in 2019 and it will be first occasion when country to host prestigious South American football championship in past 30 years. Brazil hosted Copa America in 1989 which was won by the nation itself.
Coach also said that he would be giving his best to take team on heights.
“I want to do my best in my daily job. I want to be the best version of me, I want to improve, to give opportunities through my work. The time I’ll have…I don’t know,” Tite said.
Selecao reached Copa America final last time in 2007 when national team defeated Argentina to claim victory in Venezuela. Hence its been long time since Brazil won Copa America and coach Tite believes it would be perfect occasion in 2019 to become champion once again.
