Breaking: Test cricket to return Pakistan as Sri Lanka ready to play in Karachi, Lahore

Big news for Pakistan cricket fans as Sri Lanka’s security delegation is happy with the security arrangements for national team’s visit to Pakistan for test matches series. As per local reporter, SLC board members satisfied with the security arrangements made from hotel to stadiums in Karachi and Lahore.

SportsMirchi learns that Pakistan Cricket Board will make official announcement in a day or two as Sri Lankan board is ready to send their test team after viewing the report presented by the security delegation visited Pakistan two days back.

“We’re prepared well to host Sri Lanka in October and it would be a big moment in this decade for us. The delegation was happy with the arrangements and we’ve got positive response from them. Proceedings are in the final stage and the board will make public announcement in a day or two,” reliable PCB source claimed.

Four-member security committee from Sri Lanka visited National Stadium in Karachi on 7 August while the delegation followed Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium next day. The first test of Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2019 series is scheduled to play from 1 to 5 October in Karachi meanwhile Lahore test to take place between 9 and 13.

Pakistan hasn’t hosted test cricket since 2009 when Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked by terror group. Meanwhile country managed to host limited overs international cricket and few matches of the t20 league PSL over the years. PCB has also confirmed the next edition of Pakistan Super League will be held in the country instead of UAE.
