FIFA may Organize Women’s Club World Cup in 2017

Federation de International Football Association is now moving to expend women’s football as in yesterday’s FIFA Task Force meeting it has been proposed that Women’s Club world cup should get initiation and its inaugural season can be held in 2017. The FIFA Committee for women’s football and FIFA Women’s World Cup will now today discuss about this proposal in a meeting.

FIFA Executive Committee co-opted member and Chairwoman Moya Dodd was the highlight in Tuesday’s meeting.

She mentioned that FIFA team is looking to explore women’s football game around the globe and in this chain we are working on to organizing inaugural FIFA Women’s Club World Cup.

Moya Dodd said, “The approval of the ten key principles by the FIFA Congress last June marked a major milestone for the development of women’s football.”

“FIFA is also taking concrete action, for instance the doubling of women’s development funding for the 2015-2018 cycle, and now further progress is being made towards the creation of a FIFA Women’s Club World Cup,” she added.

This year we have women’s FIFA World Cup which is going to be held in Canada from 6 June to 5 July.
