ICC to release world twenty20 2016 fixtures, groups on Friday

International Cricket Council will launch officially the ICC World Twenty20 2016 championship on 11 December 2015 in Mumbai, India. Exact three months before of the tournament’s first game, ICC will unveil the fixtures, time table and schedule of 6th edition of ICC World T20 in India. 

ICC made this announcement officially on their twitter handle. ICC Chairman Mr Shashank Manohar, ICC Chief Executive Mr David Richardson and BCCI Secretary Mr Anurag Thakur will be the attendances in the event set be hosted in St Regis hotel near Palladium, Lower Parel in Mumbai on Friday.

This will be the first occasion when India will be hosting T20 cricket world cup since it’s launch in 2007. The inaugural edition of wt20 was hosted by South Africa which was claimed by Indian team. After that England (2009), West Indies (2010), Sri Lanka (2012) and Bangladesh (2014) hosted ICC world Twenty20 championship over the years.

Sri Lanka cricket team will be the title defending champion in ICC T20 world cup as they won previous edition by defeating India in the final played in Bangladesh. Pakistan, England and West Indies are the other winners of ICC World Twenty20.
