Pop star Katy Perry is all set to entertain cricket fans on international women’s day when final of ICC women’s t20 world cup 2020 to be played on. The rock star brought herself on the board to break world record of crowd attendance as 90,185 people viewed the FIFA women’s world cup 1999 final.
“I’m all about celebrating equality and the achievements of women, which naturally happens on a global scale on International Women’s Day. It’s no coincidence that I said yes to performing live at the women’s final on this day,” Perry quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.
It is the first occasion when Australia is hosting twenty20 world cup tournament and national women’s team would be eyeing to lift their fifth title. Local organizing committee CEO Nick Hockley said that Katy is an inspiration to the girls and boys all over the world and performance at the women’s world cup final would attract more crowd towards the ground.
