Indian cricket team has created history today as they beat South Africa for the time in cricket world cup history. India defeats South Africa by 130 runs in a crucial Pool B match of 2015 world cup. Before this match, these two sides met three times in world cups and India never defeated Africa. Hence Indian team created history today at Melbourne Cricket Stadium. Winning toss India chose to bat first and lost first wicket very early as Rohit sharma was run out when team’s total was 9. After this Dhawan and Kohli built 127 runs partnership to built the platform for upcoming batsmen. Shikhar Dhawan hits hundred and played brilliant innings of 137 runs to take team’s total past 300. Virat Kohli made 46 and Ajinkya Rahane scored excellent 79 to give handy contribution to Indian total.
In the chase of 308, Proteas lost early wickets and openers De Kock and Amla returned to pavilion when SA was 40. After this captain de Villiers and Du Plessis started to re-built the innings and took team’s total past 100 in 22nd over. You can’t expect from India that they’ll throw great throws from the boundary to take wickets of batsman like Ab De Villiers.
