Shikhar Dhawan hits 7th ODI century against South Africa

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has scored brilliant century today against South Africa in the 13th match of ICC world cup 2015 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. This is Shikhar’s seventh One-Day International hundred which he completes in 122 balls with 14 fours. Dhawan made 137 runs in 146 balls and this is the highest score ever in cricket world cups against South Africa.

Shikhar Dhawan’s catch was dropped by Hashim Amla when he was batting on 53. He completed his successive fifty in 70 balls in this crucial match for India in world cup. Dhawan had been struggling since he arrived in Australia. He was completely flopped in test series and tri-series but he came back strongly and started to score runs.

But today he didn’t make mistakes and slammed the ton. After losing first wicket early, Shikhar built partnership with Kohli for second wicket and they added 127 runs. After this Kohli dismissed on 46 and Rahane came to partnered with Dhawan.

Dhawan and Rahane built one more hundred runs plus partnership in this match for India. Both batsmen added 125 runs for third wicket. With these performances India put 307 runs total on the scoreboard after completion of 50 overs. Dhawan, Kohli and Rahane’s valuable innings helped India to beat South Africa first time in cricket world cup by 130 runs.
