India to make Doha green for football 2022 world cup

Though it wouldn’t be possible for Indian national football team to travel Qatar for participating in next world cup but country would be helping Doha to organizing a wonderful tournament. Gujarat state from India would be exporting trees like banyan, peepal and karanj to make Doha ‘Go Green’ for 2022 world cup.

Navsari district’s Ambheta village will send thousands of trees to Qatar for making environment clean and cool to give players and fans relief from extreme hot weather conditions in the country. The Gujarati firm Samir Farm and Nursery have got the contract to make Doha, a green city.

Farm’s director Samir Vashi is glad to get the contract and feeling honored to represent India in this initiative.

“The climatic conditions of Doha, which is hot and humid, is like our tropical hot conditions and these trees and plant species will successfully thrive there too. India will play major role with trees supplied by us,” Vashi said.
