The second match of 8th ICC Champions Trophy is all set to be played between New Zealand and Australia cricket teams on 2 June at Edgbaston. Both sides will look to start the 2017 champions trophy with a win and teams are facing each other in major International Cricket Council event after 2015 world cup final.
Two time ICC Champions Trophy winner team Australia is set to take on their neighbor New Zealand in the opener of 2017 CT. Current world champion Australia defeated Blackcaps in the final of 2015 world cup to claim the trophy and will look forward to register victory in Friday’s game to start with a win in the competition.
Aussies will be depending on their skipper Steve Smith who was in tremendous form during IPL and he’ll look to carry on this performance in the tournament. David Warner was highest run scorer of Indian Premier League 2017, hence he is going to be key player for Australia at the top of order. Chris Lynn, Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell also shown some good performances during IPL and will look to continue in Champions Trophy.
Kiwis will definitely be depending a lot on their batting as well. Blackcaps to rely on their captain Williamson, Ross Taylor and Guptill who are going to be key batsmen in the New Zealand lineup. All-rounder Corey Anderson to play major role in Kiwi playing 11 as batsman and bowler.
Both teams are having top class bowling attacks that lead the names of Mitchell Starc, Trent Boult, Pat Cummins and Tim Southee. Starc vs Boult contest will be the center of attraction in the match as both bowlers have been fantastic for their respective nations and can do some serious damage.
