Nigerian women’s soccer team coach Edwin Okon has said that team is looking forward to go advance in the upcoming Canada football world cup in June-July. Nigeria had appeared in previous women’s FIFA world cup quarterfinals and they were knocked out every time, hence coach and team is aiming to get themselves in 2015 FIFA women’s world cup semi-finals this year.

Edwin Okon said, “Our target in Canada will be to surpass the quarter final record of the Super Falcons at previous World Cups.

While talking with media, Okon mentioned that Super Falcons are bit lacking in the department of experience but they are fully motivated to perform well on the big stage.

Okon said, “What they lacked in experience, they make up with their skills, strength and strong mentality. With this spirit and with adequate and appropriate preparation I can beat my chest that we can get to the semi-finals in Canada.”

FIFA women’s world cup 2015 has been scheduled to play from 6 June and Nigeria will take on Sweden in group D match on 8 June.
