Serena beat Venus to enter in 2015 US Open Semi-Final

World no. 1 women’s tennis player Serena Williams has defeated Venus Williams in the quarter-final of 2015 US Open Championships to enter in the semi-final. It is Serena’s straight 33rd win on Grand Slam court and she is really looking hungry for the US Open title to complete Career Year Grand Slam in 2015. This is Serena Williams’ 26th successive match win in US Open tournament.

It was 27th meet between two sisters on tennis court and younger Serena clinched her 16th win against Venus Williams. Serena qualified in the semi-final match by defeating Venus by 6-2, 1-2, 6-3. After winning the match Serena was pleased to enter in semis and agreed that its difficult to face Venus and she is always been toughest opponent.

She said, “She’s the toughest player I’ve ever played…against your best friend and…the greatest competitor in women’s tennis. When I’m playing her I don’t think of her as my sister. When you’re in the moment you don’t really think about it. We trained all our lives to play on this court and on this stage in front of you guys. It’s a great honor.”

“This is a big moment for both Venus and I. We both had a chance to be in the semi-finals. It’s a grand slam. We’re very competitive. We’re just trying to give each other a great match,” Serena added in an interview.

Serena Williams will face Italy’s Roberta Vinci in the semi-final match on Thursday.
