India beats Nepal by 2-0 in round-1 of 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

Sunil Chhetri scores two brilliant goals for Indian football team against Nepal in the first leg match of Russia 2018 FIFA world cup. The first leg match was played today here at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati and India wins it by 2-0 score after the full time.

India beats Nepal by 2-0 in round-1 of 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Chhetri scored twice in 53rd and 71th minute of the match. First half was goalless though both teams tried hard to score the goals. In the second half of match India’s Sunil Chhetri got the opportunity and he grabbed it with both hands and score the first goal of match in 53′.

After this he got one more chance to hit the goal and he successfully scored in 71th minute. In the ending moments of match Chhetri also got penalty to score the third goal but he misses it completely. Hence India registered 2-0 victory over Nepal.

The second leg match for 2018 world cup qualification between India and Nepal is scheduled for 17 March at Kathmandu, Nepal. Even if India losses that game by 1-0 margin they’ll through to the second round of world cup qualification as as per aggregate score Indian team will be ahead.. 🙂
